Our topical formulations are preserved with phenoxyethanol. Phenoxyethanol is a globally approved synthetic widely used across the cosmetics industry. Each formulation is packaged into an Active Daily Dose which protects the formulation from any contamination by water, bacteria, or light, further preserving the active ingredients without the need for unnecessary or additional preservatives. Our tinctures are preserved with gycerin, an all natural preservative found throughout the world in many products.

  • Where are your products manufactured?
All of SOTA's products and ingredients are meticulously crafted and produced in the United States of America!
  • What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is just one of several different molecules known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.
  • What are Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoids are the active compounds produced by all cannabis plants (hemp and marjuana. These cannabinoids account for most of the health benefits of CBD. In Technical terms, cannabinoids found in plants are called phytocannabinoids. Phytocannabinoids can mimic neurotransmitters that are called endocannabinoids in mammals, which are produced naturally by our bodies. Neurotransmitters help to regulate bodily systems at a cellular level.
  • What is the endocannabinoid system?
The human endocannabinoid system, or ECS, is a system of neurotransmitters and cell membrane receptors. Neurotransmitters such as endocannabinoids are produced by the central nervous system and interact with cannabinoid receptors on cell membranes to adjust physiological processes at a cellular level.
  • What does broadspectrum mean?
The term broad spectrum refers to CBD oil products that contain a combination of cannabinoids, terpenes and other beneficial compounds found in PCR hemp. While many CBD oil products are made using CBD isolate, SOTACBD's broad spectrum oils maintain the same concentrations of these beneficial compounds that are found in the original PCR hemp plant, but without the THC. A full spectrum CBD product still contains trace amounts of THC.
  • What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?
Hemp and marijuana are both types of cannabis. Whereas marijuana contains a cannabinoid known as THC, which causes a high and is known as a drug, hemp contains negligible amounts of THC, does not cause a high and is not considered to be a drug. SOTA products undergo a patented process which removes all traces of THC from the product.
  • Does your product contain THC?
The short answer is no. However, we cannot guarantee you will not have a false positive on a urine drug test.
  • Can I overdose on CBD?
No. You cannot overdose on CBD. There is no record of anyone ever overdosing on CBD. CBD is completely non-toxic. Your body treats CBD similar to a vitamin in that it uses what it needs and flushes the remains out through your urine.
  • Will I feel any effects from using CBD?
Some of the effects reported by CBD oil users include improved mood, reduced stress and anxiety, increased attention and focus, pain relief and others. However, organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.
  • What is the best way to take CBD?
CBD can be administered in a variety of ways. The list below shows the most effective delivery methods for getting CBD into your bloodstream, with 1 being most effective to 10 being least effective. Vaping – Vaping is the most effective CBD delivery method. It involves inhaling a vaporized oil preparation. Vaginal Suppository – This is one of the least desirable delivery methods for obvious reasons. Rectal Suppository – This is one of the least desirable delivery methods for obvious reasons. Sublingual – This involves using our tincture and holding it under your tongue for 45-60 seconds. Nasal Spray – We are considering this as a future product. Softgels – SOTA softgels use a patent-pending technology described in our process that make them more bioavailable to the system than any other product you can put in your mouth. They are best to take on an empty stomach. Oromucosal – This is a mouth spray. We currently have a mouth spray under development. Transdermal Topical – This is a patch applied to the skin. Topical – This is a hand cream, balm or some other product applied to the skin. The great thing about high-concentrate CBD creams, such as SOTA formula, is that you can often feel the difference in just a few minutes. The key is to thoroughly rub it into the skin. Edible – This refers to anything you eat containing CBD.
  • What is a CBD Tincture?
A CBD tincture is a preparation made from CBD extract. It is used orally (swallowed) and sublingually (under the tongue). When used sublingually, CBD can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream via capillaries found in tissues in the mouth. When consumed orally it must pass through the digestive system, but it is also absorbed via the lining of the stomach.
  • What is the ideal serving size?
The ideal serving size of CBD for each person depends on a wide range of variables, including the reason it is being used, the method of administration, sex, age, weight, diet, exercise and so on. It also depends on the product. Servings of 5 to 50 milligrams per day are commonly reported for health maintenance, mood enhancement and minor pain reduction. Higher servings, although not harmful, are not recommended unless being used to treat a particular disorder, in which case it is recommended that you consult with a qualified medical professional. We recommend most people start with a 16.67 mg dose per day and then dose up or down depending on the intended results.
  • Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
All of the products sold by SOTA are nearly THC free. This is confirmed on our internal lab reports and the third-party reports done on every batch we sell. Our third-party reports are conducted by the most advanced ISO certified cannabis testing labs in the United States. We cannot ever guarantee that you will not test positive on a urine test after CBD use, especially long term use. However, a blood test can quickly confirm you are a CBD user vs a marijuana user. Urine tests will only test for one THC cannabinoid and there are several other THC cannabinoids from CBD use that can cause a false positive.
  • What is the Enrourage Effect?
Broad spectrum CBD oil, such as that used in SOTACBD products, contains a variety of cannabinoids and terpenes as well as other beneficial compounds. Each of the compounds has particular effects on the human body. Because terpenes can affect how the body responds to cannabinoids, the combined effect is often greater than the sum of the individual effects. The overall effect produced is known as the entourage effect. Isolate products do not have the benefit of the entourage effect and are therefore not recommended.
  • What is water-soluble CBD?
In its natural state, CBD oil is not water soluble. Water Soluble CBD oil is broken down into nano-sized emulsion particles which are water soluble, allowing the CBD oil to be carried by the bloodstream and easily absorbed into tissues.
