Not all CBD is created EQUALLY
One of The World's Best Hemp-Based Products Producer
Not all hemp is created equal, therefore, not all CBD is equal. It has been important to us to align ourselves with the best growers and wholesalers of Hemp on the market, that have the same core values and competencies, so that we can provide our customers with the best CBD. We believe we have done our due-diligence and can say we are confident that you are getting a top of the line CBD product.
The benefit of this partnership combines the talents of some of the world’s leading scientists, chemists, veterinarians, formulators and experts in the hemp/CBD industry, which helps us to develop our top of the line CBD products. The result? A guarantee that the hemp extracts SOTA uses in our products are the highest quality possible.
Below is an overview of our proprietary and GMP-certified process.
How we strive to make the highest quality CBD products available
How it's done
Step 1: Organic Farming
All of the hemp we use is grown in nutrient-rich soil in the United States. Our farmers operate under strict guidelines and use only 100% organic practices that is state-of-the-art.
We take advantage of this state-of-the-art farming process. Not only does this enhance the quality of our natural proprietary strains, but it also makes sure our products are safe, regulated and unsurpassed in their potency and consistency.
Step 2: Processing Raw Hemp
The plants we use are dried and warehoused after they are harvested. When we need a plant for production, it is milled into a coarse powder. The milling process adheres to the highest quality standards in the industry. Once processed, it is shipped to a processing and manufacturing facility.
Step 3: Extraction and Solids Separation
A proprietary hemp extraction and purification process happens. This makes sure that all of hemp’s beneficial phytocannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids are preserved. It also gets rid of unwanted compounds while preventing natural molecules from degrading. Resulting in the highest quality hemp oil available.
Every drop of our phytocannabinoid-rich (PCR) hemp oil contains many of the cannabinoids present in the hemp plant. You will also find a variety of naturally occurring terpenes, flavonoids and amino acids. The benefit for you is that SOTA's products contain a spectrum of beneficial natural compounds.
While CBD on its own offers many benefits, a growing body of research has found that a phytocannabinoid-rich product (a product containing other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes derived from hemp) leads to multiplying benefits along with a synergistic effect. This is called the Entourage Effect. Once extracted, the oil is then pressed to separate most of the oil from undesirable plant solids like waxes.
Step 4: Fractional Distillation
The oil is then distilled to separate the hemp extract from the food-grade ethanol used in the extraction process. The most important reason here is that the alcohol cannabis extraction retains the chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is very important in that it oxygenates the body creating an alkaline environment. Cancer and other diseases cannot survive in an alkaline environment. It also retains the Terpenes (essential oils) which are the essence of the plant and one of the main healing factors.
Where as CO2 extraction is harsher, it removes all of the very important chlorophyll and it not done properly will combust the terpenes and flavonoids leaving just the compounds. With a CO2 extraction you are not getting Whole Plant Therapy!
Step 5: Refining and Removing THC
One of the most important steps in the process is to remove even the most minute traces of THC. THC is the compound found in hemp and cannabis that produces the “high” associated with the plant. The Lab uses proprietary technology to remove unwanted compounds still present in the oil. These compounds include wax, chlorophyll, plant pigments and trace amounts of THC. It is then “washed” and “polished” to create the highest quality, THC-free CBD oil available.
Step 6: Test, Test and More Tests
We test every production run for quality and potency. This makes sure that all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, essential fatty acids and phytonutrients are consistent and pure.
Every batch goes through rigorous testing at the laboratory. When the batch passes, it receives a Certificate of Analysis that is made available to customers. Third-party labs are used to verify and confirm the certificates.
Step 7: Water Solubility
Some of our products require the oil to go through another processing step. The raw hemp oil goes through a proprietary process that transforms it into nano-sized emulsions. This makes it the most bioavailable CBD in the industry.
The competitors’ hemp oil particles are anywhere between 150 and 5000 nanometers in size. Our particles are 25-60. This small size gives them better bioavailability, leading to much more effective absorption.
This nanoemulsion process can make our CBD formulas at least two times more easily absorbed than oil-based products.
The benefit to you is that you can use less of the product made with this process to achieve the same level of benefit as the products sold by most of our competitors. We think that’s a reason to celebrate.
Better products, better value, better results. Because, like we said, not all hemp is created equal, and neither are all CBD products.
