With industry-wide misinformation and CBD label confusion, SOTA strives to provide clarity to suggested dosing.
While CBD has no known adverse effects at any dose, an excessive amount of CBD may be less effective than a smaller dose. Based on scientifically studied dosing trials and anecdotal user experience, the recommended daily dose for most adults is 1 ml per day (or 16.6 mg's), using a 30ml bottle with 500mg of CBD. From there, users can dose up or down depending on the desired outcome.
The number of mg refers to the total amount of CBD in a product. There is often confusion when this number is referenced as the strength versus the amount of CBD per dose. SOTA measures doses by milliliters(ml). We further break that down into the amount of CBD in milligrams(mg) per milliliter(ml). SOTA’s 500mg tincture provides thirty 1/ml doses, with 16.667mg of CBD per milliliter(ml/dose) of our tincture.
Children and adults metabolize differently. While it may seem counterintuitive, young children can tolerate higher doses of cannabis oil concentrates, including THC-rich formulations. Consequently, it is not advised to calculate dosage for an adult based on what works for a child.
